Final Results: EWS Ainsa 2018
That's 40 minutes of timed descending. The race is an entire day when you factor in liasons, shuttles, etc. I think each day was around 20-30 miles and over 5000 feet of climbing on the bike. So while it's not as much as an all-day epic ride, it's quite a bit of riding, and when they are descending it's all-out. Not easy.

Santa Cruz Highball Aluminum Frame Carbon Parts

$1900 USD
Santa Cruz High Ball Aluminum - Size Large This is a custom build great for bikepacking or XC riding/racing. Lots of carbon parts make this a super quick bike, and aluminum gives you the confidence to knock it around a bit. It's got usual wear marks on the frame and fork lowers, but no extreme crashes or scrapes anywhere. The drive train on this has less than 150 miles on it, as do the tires. Review: Fox Live Valve Suspension
They're comparing it to a Scott that has extra weight added to it by the remote lockout system. Most bikes don't have that, so it'll be a bit more on the Pivot or Rocky or Giant.

More Tech Randoms: Suspension, Tires, Paint & More - Crankworx Whistler 2018
@smoothmoose: Pretty sure you can buy all your parts (hub, spokes, nipples, rims) and have a shop build up your wheels for like $75. Result is way cheaper than buying a pre-built wheelset, and you get to customize exactly as you'd like.
