What's the Deal With SRAM's DUB System? More Questions
@SonofBovril: There are a number of external cup threaded BB30 BBs available, SRAM doesn't want you using their BB30 cranks on them so hence the new standard. But just like their stupid 24mm GXP crank axle which tapers to 22mm to stop you fitting it to a Shimano BB its very easy to get a shim so you can. And I suspect a little alloy or plastic shim will return their new cranks to 30mm and then you can use what ever BB you want.

Lopes Punching Kabush After the Race? Here’s What That’s All About
For some reason this whole thing makes me feel very sad, not sure why. These guys are great athletes and they are also just people just like the rest of us but for some reason I just though we as mountain bikers were better people than, you know every one else?

Carbon Conundrum - Pole Bicycles Ditch Their Plastic Project
Check the black and white picture above, that's the new alloy bike - its not a mold. You can see where the bolts/screws will go to join the two haves. I suppose they might be locators for when the two halves are welded together? VERY cool.

Yamaha to Launch Their Own eMTB Lineup
@dubod22: "Someone on a eBike could have respiratory or cardiovascular problems, arthritis or old injuries from riding. " True, but they could just as easily ride a 50cc pit bike or a real electric motorbike, I have no problem if they ride a gasoline motor bike or an electric one but they must ride them on MOTOR bike trails.

Yamaha to Launch Their Own eMTB Lineup
@YamahaBicycles: "Today's electric powered bike has pedals because they created a legal loophole that allowed manufacturers to successfully lobby that they were power-assisted bicycles, not motorbikes, and thus dodge complicated and expensive safety regulations, as well as licensing and insurance requirements that motorcycles and motor scooters must comply with for highway use." Comments?

If some one comes up to me and says look, my e-bike is just like your mountain bike I always same the same thing: "o.k. then, disconnect the battery and lets go ride".
