Thanks! Yea I built it for a guy I used to ride with a good bit. Hopefully he'll have it built up soon and I'll have some sweet pictures of the full build.

@phutphutend: Yes you do, otherwise when the shock bottoms out your load will spike and collapse the downtube rather quickly.

Pinkbike Poll: Could You Build Your Own Mountain Bike Frame?
2 Full suspension, 3 hardtails (2 steel and 1 aluminum), a bmx, a road bike and a kid's bike here all myself, plus designing and cutting tubes for probably 50 other frames that someone else welded. Just bought all the equipment (mill, jig, torchesetc) from my buddy so I can really play around and try some fun designs.
