Gary Fisher and Genesis geometry were the first truly accessable 9'ers.
At first taller riders were thrilled as no one else was.
Fast forward a bit and Niner really turned the tides.
The last 26 trail fs bike I owned was a Kona not too long ago. 2015 I think. No dropper.
My 1st 29 we was also a Kona and once I went to wagon wheels I was sold.

I get people want cheap stuff because at this point you are seriously brain washed or out of touch buying on Ali and the likes. Besides.. I've seen weird spiders and bugs come out of Ali Express packaging.

33 Vintage Freeride/Downhill Frames: To Dream of Riding Before You Die (Part I)
Rode 18 of these.
I doubt I'll ever get to ride a PDC but theres a small chamcs to see an A Line in action still, as I saw one on the wild not too long ago. Wasn't a fan of the Armageddon but it was Benders and was thrashed. Balfa was a pig but took to speed somehow. Nicolais were always rad.
I'm kind of stick shaking my head as to why Brooklyn Machine Works is not here as well as Spooky. Otherwise very nice to see such a blast from my past all at once .. nice read. What's the value of all the bikes pictured these days? Fkn treasures! Wish I kept some of mine. ✌
