First Ride: Maxxis Highroller III Tire - DH Race Ready
@WheelNut: well, during winter (we hardly have real winter here anymore, climate change and stuff) I regularly ride at temperatures below zero. There's also snow and frozen ground, grip is significantly less, but it's predictable, so no problem. Even Maxxis themselves state Maxxgrip hardens below 5°C and not as much above. In my mind the whole story of Maxxgrip hardening to a point where it's unbearable is exaggerated anyway.

First Ride: Maxxis Highroller III Tire - DH Race Ready
@WheelNut: you mean 5-8°C BELOW zero, right? If not, than it's not winter and not cold enough for any compound to firm up significantly.

Formula Release Yoke Mount Compatible Mod Coil Shock
@vinay: if the diameter is the same as RS springs why not use a red RS one? Red is objectively faster.

Video: Travel Essentials, Kaz Talks Us Through the New Ibis, and a Very Special Banshee
@Timo82: sorry to hear you had a bad time. I am in no way linked to Banshee, just a happy customer, so here are some thoughts. I managed to stop the cables from ratteling with some tape around them that's clamped by those tiny guide thingies. Foam helps too, but it's a pain, as you mentioned. When first building the bike make sure to feed the cables from the bottom to the top with no fork installed. Got the tip from my dealer and it worked nicely. So, the way I understand the Mod died on you after some months, the Kitsuma doesn't? Maybe the shock was the problem? I've been running a SD Coil for nearly 3.5 years nonstop, no problems at all. Even the rebound is adjustable with a small tire lever, it's still a pain, that's true.
