Around 1995 our crew exited a "no bikes" trail into the waiting arms of a Tilden Park ranger in Berkeley, CA. We were busted and asked for our names by the ranger. We sheepishly complied until brother Seth responds "Mert Lawwill" and the ranger asks "How is that spelled?" Seth tried and failed to keep a staight face as he butchered the spelling and we were issued the only citations we've ever received in 30 years of unsanctioned trail riding! The old crew still rides together occasionally. Long live the memory of M-i-r-t L-a-u-i-l-l

@nilswalk: I first learned of Redbull in Nepal and Thailand on a 4 month trip in 1999-2000. Had no idea what it was and asked a Thai host. She said basically it was a "low class drink used by truck drivers to stay awake". Essentially gas station speed. Crazy how it has been marketed by the west as the beverage for "extreme athletes". It's still just gas station speed. Trashy.

@Bro-tato: When the teeth start wearing down after a few years of use you can easily switch the notched bars from left to right in a couple of minutes and expose new teeth to the locking portion of the system. I normally push each side in six clicks when putting the bike on to make sure it is centered so those spots wear faster that the rest of the teeth.
