Trail Knee Guard Round Up: 10 Options for Different Body Types
Those IXS flows might be good for women with large quads but not for men, at least men that haven’t spent their lives cycling. I’m a former football player/power lifter and even in XL I could barely get the quad opening a couple inches above my knee cap. The rest of the knee pad is awesome but that opening needs to be much bigger and longer for those of us that are more muscular. The 7IDP project knees though are money. Stretchy so they can fit my quads and long enough not to fall down and create a gap. My fav knee pads by far.

Knolly Endorphin 27.5 frame (PRICE DROP)

$1125 USD
I have a large 2017 Knolly Endorphin 27.5 frame in raw for sale. The frame was only ridden for about 8 months and is in great shape. It comes with a Cane Creek db in-line coil fresh off a factory rebuild and overhaul, so it’s essentially like a new shock as it has not been ridden since I got it back from Cane Creek. It also comes with 500 and 550lb. steel cane creek springs, a cane creek headset, raceface bottom bracket, and a one up components top chain guide in both black and green colors. Will also include all the hardware it came with like cable retainers, etc. This frame has been babied as are all my frames and covered with chain stay protection and custom cut mastic tape to protect any areas of potential rock strikes, etc. There are no dents and only minor scuffs here and there that can be buffed out to new since it’s a raw finish. I did not polish the frame as I’m a fan of the totally raw finish but with some fine steel wool you could put almost a mirror finish on this thing if you so choose. Such is the beauty of raw frames. Anyways let me know if you have any questions or would like some more pics. I absolutely love this frame and knolly’s in general and would honestly not be selling it if the wife wasn’t making me. I attached a photo of her built up in all her glory so you can see just how awesome this bike is in full form. Thanks for looking! (Note: I’m more than happy to remove the frame protection if you’d like, or keep it there to continue protecting the frame)

iXS Flow Evo+ Knee Guards - Review
If the upper cuff was longer and more elastic for those with more muscular legs these would be the perfect trail knee pads. Unfortunately the original version I got is just too small in the upper cuff even in XL but I’m a former weight lifter so my legs aren’t exactly the usual, but still a stretchier and longer material there would be welcomed. I still use them from time to time but my go to trail pads have become 7IDP’s transition knee for the above reasons. Longer up top and more comfortable with similar protection.
