@Mac1987: Paradoxically, you can ignite an ebike to be an impressive candle.
And by the way, the rider is the acoustic chamber of the bike, so the acoustic bike needs a rider to come alive, to play the music, while an electric bike basically just needs a power cord and some feeble human input to have an overly cranked up presence on trails.

btw, I think some of the welds are around internal gussets - doesn't look nice but makes a lot of sense to increase stability/stiffness, and are usually welded internally in final production versions.
