Bike Check: Brage Vestavik's GT Force 'Jib' Bike
why not just use a tensioner, and have a shorter chain (still accounting for chainstay growth under compression, obv)

3 Companies Making E-Bike Drive Units In Europe - Eurobike 2022
The Intradrive ticks all the boxes! gears and motor, in a sensible package. Look forard to seeing that develop further! "Of course, a 3-D printed prototype for now" Why do they do that? Not only does it look crap, but it looks like that part you could prototype properly out of an offcut of aluminium in about half the time it takes to print that raggedy ass plastic bit.

Video: She Has To Jump - Pinkbike Racing EP1
Ben's intro had me so stoked for DH. Thibault's jump at 2:39 had me "oh yeah, thats why i dont ride DH" Aimi's a star, and i dont know if you made a big enough thing about coming 9th!

Mondraker Announces the "Safety Check" Bike For the 2022 UCI DH World Cup & World Championships
Surely its part of a Pro's job to walk the track, and inspect and assess it and make their own decisions. What is safe for one rider is not safe for another. Can the UCi not just do one.

The European Bike Project: 5 Exciting Products from Small European Manufacturers - February 2022
"Suspension-wise we're looking at a linkage actuated single pivot suspension design" Somewhere in there, is some bendy bendy. Pressumably the seatstays are thin enough to account for it. I would be interested to know how, and how much, it interferes with suspension feel and the shock actuation. Dont get me wrong, Awesome looking bike. very much my kinda thing. Love thats its got proper bearings in the pivots, rather than tiny little skinny ones. Looks like it might even be using the same size on all three pivot axis

Mechanics Petition for Durability Standards & Repairable Budget Bikes
Its worse that outlined above tbh. Bike Shaped Objects are one of the reasons moew people dont cycle. They spend 100 - 200 hrs on a dogsh*t supermarket bike and conclude that cycling is no fun at all, its hard work and dangerous. BSOs repel people from cycling! Take these people and put them on a resonable, not flash just well designed and well built bike and its like some miraculous realisation OH wow, your/this bike is SO nice to ride, its SO easy. No, friend, Your supermarket BSO is a bag of shit and should be legislated against. Geometry costs nothing to get right, FFS!

Video: $450 vs. $2200 Wheels & Tires - Budget vs. Baller Episode 2
dissapointing, as everyone has said, the $20 tyres will negate any changes on anything else. tbh, as tyres make the biggest difference, i think both bikes should run the same, middle of the road rubber, for the rest of the tests. Whats the exchange rate these days? $450 seems quite high to me for entry wheels. How much would a set of Hope hubs with Spank rims cost for instance? Not sure why you would want to spend any more than that setup. Not the lightest granted but not bad, and pretty much fit and ignore for 5 years.

Slack Randoms: A High Pivot, Integrated Shock Scott Gambler Concept, Stick Shift Transmission & More
I hate that stick shift thing so much. I mean, i get it. Why not, if you can, its fine i suppose. But its so pointless, looks so awkward to use, and completly misses how or why an H box works! Looks like a block shift would lunch it. Its rustled my Jimmies more than it should
