I agree — definitely an immature way to celebrate, but hey, Martin Vidaurre is still young and this was his first elite World Cup win! 😅
For context: the gesture he made is known in Chile as “un Pato Yáñez.” It was made famous in the 1980s by a Chilean footballer named Patricio “Pato” Yáñez, who did it live on camera during a heated match against Brazil. It involves grabbing one’s crotch with both hands while bending slightly forward — a very “passionate” form of protest, to put it mildly.
Since then, it’s become a cultural reference here — not necessarily offensive, just a very expressive (and cheeky) way of saying: “I put everything I had into this.” And yes, in this case, "everything" includes... well, you get the idea. 😄
So no harm meant — just raw, unfiltered joy and a whole lot of adrenaline!

@Dougal-SC: this! I think the Assegai is a really good tire for general grip up front but slow. If you really learn how to carve turns with the DHF then there is no better tire. Very fast on a straight line too and cleans up mud better than the Assegai.
