Review: Bontrager SE4 2.6" Tire
@WAKIdesigns: i was riding it on wet roots and slick shallow mud and the SE4 didn't brake or turn in the mud. Was ok on the roots I guess. HD kinda sucks in the same mud but the SE4 was worse.

Review: Bontrager SE4 2.6" Tire
I rate the 2.4" SE4 as worse than a Trailstar Hans Dampf as a front tyre but pretty good as a rear.

Considers an XR2 to be a wet conditions tyre... that puts my skills into perspective in a fairly unflattering way.

Review: Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt Carbon 70
@Poulsbojohnny: the BMC article wasn't "27.5 sucks". It was 27.5 isn't sufficiently different from 26" to have been worth the effort.

@WAKIdesigns: Specialized abandoned 26" due to consumer demand but yeah it was shoved by many manufacturers too.

If there really was a clear fun/fast division the industry would have done what BMC and Specialized tried and been 26/29 but somehow enough people bought the 27.5 "Goldilocks" bullshit and a mess was made.

NZ is tiny. Only the big companies can afford to care. It should be no surprise that you don't know them
