Review: SeaSucker Talon Bike Rack - Does It Suck?
I use it on my '14 civic. I didn't want to install a hitch and traditional roof rack are super expensive. I clean the cup and the surface every time with a micro fiber and spray bottle that I keep in my car. The rack takes only 2 min to install and it has never ever came even close to coming off.
I get that it looks sketch. But in reality, it's really not if used properly. The only time I am not sure i would trust it is for sub 0 temperature.
We have a hitch rack for my GF's SUV. My car is a manual and she doesn't drive it.

Review: SeaSucker Talon Bike Rack - Does It Suck?
I understand the cons that were stated, but the pros outweight them by a lonnng shot for me. Install both front and back carrier first then take the wheel off and mount the bike on the car. The fork dropout fit the rack and I can balance it while I insert the quick release. This way, i am sure I sand from my dirty bike wont drop on the car before I drop the suction cup on it.
It has been one of the my best buy of the last 3 years.

Shimano Files Patent Detailing Machine Learning for Automatic Suspension Control
For real... Repairing and tinkering on my bike is half the fun for me. Progress is cool, but it's costing the consumer right now.

Greg Minnaar Off Santa Cruz & Reportedly on Norco for 2024
In a podcast this year with a Santa Cruz guy, he said that the racers dont have THAT much of an impact on their design. They have their local testers that can give more direct feedback.
Greg is very finicky with his needs and setup. I am not sure such a person can relate to the general consumer that much.
I too was seeing him with a permenant role at SC after his racing career. I know he owns a bike shop in South Africa. It could very well be a mutual descision.
