@winko: Yep :D They did look a bit janky compared to the bikes of that year. Just before full suss started to look more polished and less like mad science experiments.

Throwback Thursday: 'Life Cycles' - The Greatest Mountain Bike Movie Ever Made?
Life Cycles - an Eye opener or me. Inspiring, impressive, stunningly beautiful. Both Eerie yet real. And it even leaked outside of our MTB bubble a little, which is very impressive. But mostly because some of the tracks, it did not age well for me.
Other MTB movies I tend to come back to:
Sprung2 - because culture and Afrika Bambaataa
Hack bike derby and the Dudementary - they show the best things about mountain biking
NWD - all of them, really. Too many iconic music and riding combos.
Luckily, I still have many old ones to cover, so thanks for posting your favourites, everyone!

I ride modified 11s mech to work with 10s microshift cassette and 10s DH X0 shifter, cos I wanted to try something different and even more robust. That's why it it peaked my interest.
In hindsight, I agree 11-speed stuff is prime.
Looking at the tyre specs, they are ...substantial :D Looking up the article with the World Cup enduro bikes' real weight, it's actually quite good. With so many exotics bolted on, I was just expecting something more (less!) :)

No reasoning as to why she chose GX 11-speed derailleur over Eagle and Eagle AXS?
Also, all of those super expensive carbon choices and the weight at her size is over 16,3kg. Wow! How?

Intrusive Thoughts: How Much Can Modern Parts Improve My Old Bike?
I keep tuning my Scout 2019 as well.
1. biggest fix was upside-down fitted Super Deluxe with megneg, vorsprung, and ball bearing mount. I'm sure I could have achieved the same, if not better results, with a cascade link.
2. was high riser bars - the very first thing I swapped.
3. were nice wheels, and than second pair later on. One for XC, other for "Enduro"
The results are similar, not amazing, but pretty fucking good. A new bike would help in many small ways, but not enough to spend the money...
I forgot! The biggest fix was throwing Sram Guide Brakes info garbage and braking with my shoes.
