Two Unique & Very Expensive Balance Bikes for Little Shredders
Kind of like most adult bikes no? How many people will actually notice the 10g theyre fancy new carbon frame saves that cost 3k? Or when people upgrade to the latest phone every time its out? Or people that buy branded t shirts instead of supermarket ones?

Thought Experiment: What Would It Take to Build a Sub-7kg Mountain Bike Using Only Stock Parts?
Once had a kids 20inch wheel full sus bike come in for a new tyre when i worked in a bike shop, nearly fell over lifting it onto the stand. Got the scales out for curiously and after getting a hand to lift the bike and position it to stay balanced it came in at just under 40kg (thankfully the stands were rated to 50kg but damn they were flexing)! A 20 inch kids bike weighing 40kg is just mad. I have no idea what brand it was but I would just get that and call it a day on the heaviest bike contest

Eurobike Randoms II - Eurobike 2018
We built an orange alpine up in the shop with the only carbon being the bars for around £2500 less than RRP on a top spec Santa cruz nomad cc and the orange came in just over 2lbs lighter. Been abused by a 20 stone + rider for years and not a single broken component. And they come with a race warranty

Eurobike Randoms II - Eurobike 2018
@Stravs: I was told a few years ago, that almost all orange 'cracked' frames were just paint cracks and are simply stripped and re painted FOC, or if that colour is at the back of their paint cycle (something like 8 week runs), they send you a new one out that they have already painted and scrap you old one. Cant say fairer than that

Hope Cuts Price on Made-in-England Carbon Bike
@WAKIdesigns: As far as im aware most shops in the dealer net work for these are selling there allocated stock each month. Having personally met Alan at hope, while yes there will be some business meaning to this, I do actually believe this is just him being his good self. Heck when we did a shop tour of the factory he took us out for lunch at a local pub and paid for all 8 of us.

Hope Cuts Price on Made-in-England Carbon Bike
@CustardCountry: pretty much, every shop that has been selected to sell them can only sell 1 bike a month, if they sell more the customers must wait for the next shipment. Ive not heard of many shops keeping them on the shop floor for long

American Classic Calls It Quits... For Now
We sell their wheels in and they are honestly the best value wheels you can get. Sure the hubs are a bit slow but find a good shop that can buy the rims on their own (american classic are very protective) and lace them into some hopes etc and theyre bomb proof. We literally all ride them in the shop. Shame to see them go. However... Good news. I hear there is a certain company trying to buy them out :)
