Review: The Forbidden Reya Throws Conventional XC Geometry Out the Window
There is certainly something to be said for these slack low travel bikes....but at the same time something to be said for steeper low travel bikes. Mid-school geo, 130 bike works really good in the right conditions that require tighter moves, uphill tech climbs, I think there is still a market for ~2016 geo. I rented a Yeti SB5.0 in whistler back in 17' I think and that thing RALLIED, no so much in the park but valley trails it's been my favorite bike to date. The longer / slacker bikes, even with the same travel, just don't climb the same IME.

Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
@BenPea: Could be - I'll be honest I was a Sam Hill fan-boy, loved his style and what he brought to the table in such a dominating fashion in his first few years, he couldn't be touched. The 2018 Trans race I did had several Santa Cruz guys show up, Greg Minnar, Peat, Luca, Loris....seeing those guys ride in person (especially Loris) was eye opening to the level of riding required to do well, absolutely mind boggling since I got the ride the same stuff and comparing times :(

It's how businesses work - probably just like the one you work for and what drives the economy. Unfortunately if businesses were not for profit they wouldn't exist. I wouldn't resent a business for cutting my job to make a profit.....after all, I (as do many) invest in the stock market which requires business to succeed and make a profit. The managers of the people effected, at least in my experience, really do care.

Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
I was really into it back in 17-19, pre covid, loved watching Sam Hill shred his inside lines....there was a lot of buzz around enduro then, bike checks and coverage....I really liked that series "Hot Lap Challenge" which was Enduro(ish). I guess I could seek out the Media stuff more, but meh, it would be nice to see it on this platform.
I did a couple of the Trans Cascadia races (18 and 21) and worked the 25 race, super cool seeing but I just kinda lost motivation being a racer.
Maybe it's just an age thing? I enjoy my mellow trips to Whistler, maybe a big day on Mystic-Squirrel, but mostly 2-3 laps at the park in the morn, burger+beer, and a few more laps and call it a day.

This Non-Invasive Monitor Measures Your Tire Sealant Level Without Opening the Bead
I think for most of us, we kind of know when it's time, sealant drys out pretty consistently for me. If I am not topping off every couple months I'm not giving it enough attention.
Also, I don't have data to PROVE this, just a hunch, but I do think sealant degrades over time even if it's in there and it shows full, it's still probably time to throw some more in.

To be fair - the "roadies" doing well enough to podium in a MTB race are really at their core CX dudes like Sagan, MvDP and Pidcock; 99% of road fit dudes, regardless of how good they are on a MTB, wouldn't do well.

@steviestokes: depends on how long ago it was, there were some rims called Ambrosio (I had to look that up) that were super popular in the in the 80/90s and well into the 2000's, they were kind of the go-to rims back in the day.
Nothing better than a set up fresh cup-n-cone hubs, 32 spoke shallow alum rims, fresh tubular on a steel frame....it's magic when it's setup right and no noise.

@radatabs: couple shops in my area specialized in them for CX, I wanna say it was like $80 in labor per wheel to install + you had to drop off you stuff for a week. I think they called that 'seasoning' the tubulars, where you fill them up and mount them and let them sit for upwards of weeks or months at a time. I never got into it, just too much to learn and too much to get wrong....I think back in they day the pro teams had guys that specialized in nothing but the tubular tires.

I'm surprised Tubulars are not a thing anymore - they are a PITA, labor intensive, expensive and require a lot of experience / tribal knowledge to setup....all things pro teams have (and us amateur guys don't) and if you flat you can still ride. The CX dudes are still using them too.
None of the big tire manuf. make tubs anymore so I guess it make sense if they are sponsoring riders...
