MET Announces New Terranova Open Face Helmet
What’s not to like. Good price. Looks good. MIPS. Good ventilation. Good weight. Helmets are just getting better and better no matter the brand!

Bike Check: Caminade’s Titanium ‘Chill Easy’ Trail/Enduro Bike
Offset shock so no interrupted seat tube and they still managed to put a short seat tube in it. Pointless. Can’t fit a long dropper in it. Stupid!

Adolf Silva Breaks Femur in Three Places In Crash at Loosefest XL
@sriracha: no mate your correct. A femur recovery is fairly straightforward, especially compared to a complex body part like an ankle, or any joint for that matter. He will recover well enough to ride for sure, BUT it’s the risk of traumatising that injury again. It’s not like an ACL or a Clavicle etc etc, it’s THE biggest bone in our body. Some injuries are career ending and this, due to the danger of life long repercussions, could be it for him.

Adolf Silva Breaks Femur in Three Places In Crash at Loosefest XL
@sriracha: hmmmm I really hope I’m wrong with this but with the type of fracture he sustained being a comminuted or “splintered” complicated fracture the surgery would have most likely been an open reduction with internal fixation, meaning open surgery with plates and/or screws permanently fitted. The external exo skeleton type of management that is then removed is not an option with his type of fracture. The risk from now on is further damage to the fracture point and it’s permanent hardware. Any subsequent trauma to that area can have catastrophic consequences. Not to mention the recovery from this type of injury is lengthy with anyone. Certainly his age/fitness will help. I very much doubt he will return to his former glory and if he does it will definitely be against surgeons wishes. Still he’s a tough mofo and I really really hope he does come back!!

Adolf Silva Breaks Femur in Three Places In Crash at Loosefest XL
It’s broken in one place with a splinter. It’s known as a comminuted fracture “A comminuted fracture is a break or splinter of the bone into more than two fragments. Since considerable force and energy is required to fragment bone, fractures of this degree occur after high-impact trauma such as in vehicular accidents”

Caminade Shows Off Prototype Titanium Enduro Bike
My thoughts too! Suspension designers need to make dropper extension/seat tube length a massive part of their designs. If single pivot then just run a yoke around an uninterrupted seat tube. 460ish full length seat tube then lets most run atleast a 170 drop in a large frame size
