YT Releases Shred Spec Aluminium Capra & Decoy
@Xlr8n: my paint chipping issue was also prior to the pandemic as well. Their service leaves a lot to be desired

YT Releases Shred Spec Aluminium Capra & Decoy
@cky78: I contacted them about paint chipping roughly 2 months after getting the bike (these weren't in spots where rocks/etc would hard either). Their response? Go to a hobby store, we don't have touch up paint and we can't do anything for you. Won't be buying from them again

Sheffield's Steel City Downhill Track has Been Vandalised
@Yaan: psychopaths apparently. She got a slap on the wrist considering she essentially set up log spears in the ground. Should have been tossed in prison for a couple years for reckless endangerment or whatever Canada's equivalent is

New Zealand Health Minister Criticized for Mountain Biking During Lockdown
@westeast: that's not the point. The point is you cited a source that only looks at the numbers. The source says nothing about the factors that turn this into something much worse. Hospitals are not equipped to handle this. Period.

New Zealand Health Minister Criticized for Mountain Biking During Lockdown
@westeast: there's an issue with how the New England Journal presented their data. It is completely factual but presents the data in a way that gives a false sense of safety. They compare the mortality rate to the seasonal flu...which may be true under normal circumstances. However, the death rate is going to spike when supplies run out (beds, ventilators, doctors, etc). We are prepared for seasonal flus. We are not prepared for hospitals to be flooded with patients with a virus that we have little supplies for and with little beds available

Video: Bienvenido Aguado Lands Tsunami Front Flip - DarkFest 2020
@tripleultrasuperboostplusplus: Yes but he is moving up and down through the shot. He moves through nearly 2/3 of the image which draws attention to the elevation change. To me, the fish eye photo gives the sense he is traversing to the landing and the video gives a sense that he's ascending into the sky. I see it working either way depending on the shot so it's just a matter of preference. If the guy filming was 20 ft to the right and lower down on the slope it would have been a great vertical poster of 0:05 seconds in

This seems to be an appropriate use of vertical filming. If you film landscape you'd probably end up losing where he is in relation to the ground

I just took the bike in to a LBS and had them do a tune up including brake bleed, wheel true, shift tuning, new cables/housings, lubed mechanics, torqued bolts, and a bike wash. There is dirt from 1 ride at the local bike park in the photos and is when I decided that it's no longer the bike for the type of riding I like to do.
