Bike Check: Raphaela Richter's Crossworx Dash Enduro World Cup Race Bike
@GZMS: i was curious and did add some parts. A crossworx trailbike with intend suspension, pirope wheels, ingrid drivetrain, trickstuff diretissima brakes and a hope cockpit would cost you just under 10k. Not saying this is cheap by any means, but also very easy to spend that much at a specialized dealer.

Bike Check: Raphaela Richter's Crossworx Dash Enduro World Cup Race Bike
@latetotheparty: yeah i have seen some amazing 100% euro bikes. I'm not quite there yet, but with my last homebuilt bike I'm not miles off either.
A couple notable european companies you didn't mention that make cool stuff:
- My friends at Scar cycle and dead rabbit who make about the coolest bikes you can imagine (I'm not 100% unbiased;)) as well as Stoll and Nostra.
- Pirope for wheels
- Bright racing shocks

Video: Thread, Resin, & Robots: How Giant Builds Carbon Frames Differently
I built a couple of carbon bikes and I love these factory insights. Not much given away here, but interesting nevertheless.
Also good to see Jason back in some videos!

The Aventon Current eMTB Offers Serious Performance at Half the Price
Because roads are regulated and regulations are strictly enforced. On trails we enjoyed the absence of all of this under an umbrella of common sense. Up until now...

Video: A 4-Day, 3-Country Circumnavigation of Mont Blanc
@arnaudgrd: i rode a lot around Whistler. In terms of riding i think Canada is the winner just by sheer volume of trails. But the experience you can have in either place, and there are few places like the high alpine terrain here in Europe.

$8,400 For a Swiss-Made Carbon Frame? Introducing the Nostra XC
@bjorn989: @bjorn989: you also need to cover tooling cost, cost for machinery (plattenpress, carbon cnc kitter, freezer, dust extraction, ...) development and testing and other overhead, and with a small scale project it won't be divided over thousands of frames.
Salaries in Switzerland vary quite wildly between Zürich and more rural areas and depending on the field. In my region with overhead for some qualified personnel you are looking at about 100$ per hour (all cost, not salary).
But all of this is a bit besides the point. While I understand how this is the price of things for a small scale operation, this bike is not addressing the mass market and is not competing on price. Look at it, enjoy it, but then go enjoy whatever bike you are currently riding. This takes nothing away from that and I'm glad it exists and I'm glad people dare to still manufacture parts here, against all the odds. I really hope it will work out for them.
