Review: 2019 Santa Cruz Megatower - Stiff & Solid, But Not That Sensitive
@WasatchEnduro: I agree with you. The selection these days is unreal! SO many killer bikes in all sorts of forms. The Megatower looks awesome and as others have said, there is no doubt you could find a shock that would completely change the way the rear end feels.

First Ride: Shimano's Back in the Game With New XT and SLX 12-Speed Groups
Some interwebzing reveals a few reports that the XTR and therefore presumably XT and SLX shifter and mech work well with an Eagle cassette and chain. One guy reports using a GX shifter with XTR mech and everything else SRAM with good results. It makes sense. Shimano would be crazy not to make their stuff compatible with Eagle cassettes.

First Ride: Shimano's Back in the Game With New XT and SLX 12-Speed Groups
Is the shifter and derailleur compatible with an XO1 Eagle cassette and chain (unofficially, of course)? Is there a 6 bolt version of the Freeza rotors? When Eagle came out I was skeptical about performance and price and durability. I am not skeptical any more. XO and GX Eagle work really well. The chains, cassettes, and chainrings last far longer than any drivetrain stuff I've used in over 30 years of mountain biking.

Aaron Gwin’s Race Bike Stolen in Edinburgh
This is an good idea. A small gps tracking stick on somewhere inside the frame? Imagine how sweet it would be to track the bike and bust the losers who stole it...

Just Riding Along - Sunday Comics with Taj Mihelich
For every one of these busted bike stories there’s also a JRA, then OTB after a pedal clip or washout, usually after a tech section of some sort where you’ve let your guard down... DOH!

I have a Kona Minute cargo bike with a Lunacycle kit on it. It’s got a throttle and cadence sensing pedal assist and it’ll do a tire smoking burnout on pavement with that throttle and a little front brake application. It also hauls myself and a child size passenger on the back quite easily around town. It’s a fantastic tool for urban and suburban transport. Everyone that rides it comes back laughing and smiling. Call it whatever you want, motorbike, ebike, bike, it’s a really fun machine and a great way to get around.

Agree! There are gonna be some flat tires and broken bikes. Lots of embedded rock. Huge day out there with 6k feet of climbing and descending.
