Video: More Power, Bigger Batteries, Smarter Software - Understanding Today’s eMTBs
I started with a full power, alloy 56lb bike and I like to hop around and play my way down the hill. I started to have elbow pain from yanking the bike around. Now I have a 45lb carbon emtb (Revel Rerun) w/Bosch SX. It's so much more fun and pain free also. YMMV. I like to pedal hard and stay fit so the lower range is not a problem as the mode I usually ride in is set to 30nm and is plenty of assist for me. Hope this helps. Hopefully you can borrow/demo the types that you're interested in?
