Began biking in the ‘90’s but quit somewhere early 2000’s due lack of good trails and unable to travel...... Back at it for a few years painfully regretting I quit but making the best of it now....with my two sons liking riding their bikes to!

2023 Pinkbike Awards: Mountain Bike of the Year Winner
Maybe it’s a great bike, but shouldn’t the bike of the year be a bike that is somewhat affordable, easy to service and build to last? And look good ofcourse…..and if you pay a bit extra you know the employees are being well paid, maybe locally build, and the company sponsors all kinds of bike initiatives? That would be mine consideration…..
This thing looks like those contraptions in a toy store that keeps moving and you can stare at where the balls cross al the pulleys and idlers…..can’t watch at it, this is to much…..

Wow, the second year without a watching worldcup DH. Let’s face it, corporate greed is at an all time high….. We can walk with it as sheep or not comply. Mountainbiking was a bit off when started, let’s go back to the roots and embrace independence! If I remember correctly Skateboarding went through the same, I think the mtb community knows why it likes this sport…let’s step back. Leave the UCI-Warner Bross to the roadies…..

Availability is def a thing.....I ordered a Nukeproof youth bike for my son. What a hell, the bike got lost between England and Amsterdam after passing my house almost twice. Corona is the main excuse for every delivery partner these days. Almost no new bike is made, waiting for three months now kept on a leach with mail as: wait another week when we have news about our investigation..... yeah right! How can you lose a big bike box?!

That was what I wanted to say to! The Mountainbike Museum in Arnhem the Netherlands. As a volunteer I can say it is very impressive! We are categorizing the bikes and document them. Well over 650 bikes, and an abundance of parts. Look it up, it’s insane!
