Built Not Bought: André Plarre's Balfa BB7 Inspired Trail Bike
I owned 4 Balfa BB7s and an Appalache Réal, as well as 3 Xprezos (all similar lineage). That design was so far ahead of its time but sadly the sale of the company never allowed it to progress. Too bad

I don't think anyone at Tioga actually rode bikes. Let's get rid of the centre knobs altogether. And Shimano PSD sandals are fucking awesome.

Damn, good ol' Upper Oilcan. We used to race down that as a part of the North Shore Extreme series that James from Obsession used to put on. Way back in 2004 when that trail was still fresh.

1997 Toyota Corolla with only 146,400kms!

$6000 CAD
I'm not desperate to sell it, so please don't lowball me. The good: Extra clean and very well maintained. Owned from new by an elderly woman who drove it on average 5000kms per year. Had it serviced twice a year, always stored in a garage. Currently has collector's plates ($330/year insurance). These cars are known to go 500,000kms or more and this one only has just over 146,000kms. Very fuel efficient little 1.6L engine. Maxxis all season tires. Strong air conditioning and a sweet cassette player. The bad: Nothing really, other than a few scrapes. It only has 100hp and a 3 speed automatic transmission. You don't go anywhere very fast. No power anything and no airbags. Roll-down windows and manual locks. We don't really have the space for this little green goddess, as we already have two other vehicles. Located in North Vancouver.

Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
For me, enduro lost its appeal when tracks got too difficult. Then bikes started turning into slightly smaller versions of downhill bikes because of the difficulty of the tracks. When it started, it was low-key and you could race on 140-150mm travel trail bike and be competitive. Tracks were chill and everyone was just out to have a good time. The vibe was the antithesis to DH and XC and it was reflected in the bikes people were riding. It's worth noting that enduro was new and bike technology was exciting, so of course everyone was on board. On a grassroots level, enduro is doing fine. But that's also where it should have stayed. When it got too serious and bikes became unrelatable to most people, fans lost interest. Of course, the coverage is abysmal. I don't entirely blame the people trying to cover it, but perhaps the venues need to be smaller/simpler/easier so it can be reliably filmed.
