Ever heard of the 4Ps in marketing? Marketing is supposed to drive product direction. The problem our beloved industry has, is that it works in silos and that product development/management is too detached from the market. This being said, I feel like the cable routing discussion is a bias that's very present here on Pinkbike, but not in "the actual market" for those bikes.

This can only be topped by someone stepping in to make sure we don't need such a tool ever again. Makes me wonder why there hasn't been any innovation around how pivot points are designed.

Is it just me or will all bike just look the same in the future? Where is the differentiation and why should I, as a rider by brand X over brand Y? With all the componenents being the same anyway there's less and less reason to not just look for the best deal. And yes, there might be a subtle difference in brand positioning, but not really, because the industry is way to product driven and catering to their own identity.

This image is very misleading and the article does a very bad job explaining the situation for people who don't know what's behind the Porsche eBike Performance GmbH.
