First Look: Orange's Phase Evo eMTB Is Respectably Light
I love Orange’s bikes but these e-bikes are pushing the aesthetic to the edge. Okay for a alu bike it’s pretty impressive but my first thought was…. Burly…. But not in a good way. In the way that you spot an old rugby legend that has been has been owning the bar and the chippy for a few year!

Review: Cane Creek Tigon - The Air Charged Coil Shock
Looks awesome but then I thought that of my other CC inline coil and db and they both died within a year of having them. Love what CC do, love how their kit rides but even with a 2 year warranty I doubt I’d be happy to risk that coin. I’m sure the US support is great but in my experience the support offered in other countries by CC distributors takes an annoying situation and turns it into a ball tearing nightmare.

First Look: Transition TransAM Steel Hardtail
I thought the same thing but then got hella bored of my Ripmo flattening out a lot of the terrain around Cape Town. Built a monster gravel bike out of a steel niner which made pretty much everything a bit of a laugh then wanted a bit of squidge up front and started looking for a lefty to go on it. Then I realized I was pretty much building an old school steel hard tail and just got a dialed, modern geo one. It’s super fun. Climbs fast, is light and bombs down. You’re out of the saddle on all the rough stuff so you don’t miss the bouncy bit at the back. Sure if you ride lazy you get a bit sore and will be buying new rims often but it sits nicely next to my Smuggler and is a chunk of fun every time you ride it.

First Look: Transition TransAM Steel Hardtail
Love that tranny is bringing this back and in steel. Don’t really understand why they didn’t use something like a Reynolds’s 853 for the tubing. I’ve got a 2019 Shand Shug (64ha / 75sa / 140mm z2) and it’s incredible. It’s made of 853 for the front triangle and custom dedacciai rear / dropouts and head and shoulders above the other HTs I’ve had, all ‘steel’ of various kinds.

Video: A Moment of Solitude
Just did the same thing with my pooch in Cape Town before the whole country goes into 21 days of total isolation. Boys aren't messing about here. 2 guys charged with attempted murder for being diagnosed with C19 and just carrying on with everyday life as normal. We're set for 1814400 moments of solitude!
