Review Addendum: Bluegrass Legit Carbon Helmet - I Tested It More by Crashing
Sucks that stoke encouragement caused this. Sometimes you don't have it and it's not just a matter of letting go and hitting it. The cheering on and you got it's are not always wise. Especially if it's blind leading blind. Could happen to anyone of course. No judgements on Alicia. But the sentence about everyone "encouraging" sending it bigger is a huge red flag and is becoming a thing. There seems to be more cases of especially females that get encouraged to do things over their head by other unqualified peers.

Review: Akta's Trail Apparel & Protection Line
@Bikethrasher: yeah for sure 100 percent altho I always worry about forgetting to zip a pocket and lose something. Wish the top pockets were horizontal and deep no zipper

Review: Akta's Trail Apparel & Protection Line
@calhoun: I remember those. Seemed like anything less than full length would be too short but brilliant concept none the less

Review: Akta's Trail Apparel & Protection Line
Abit shorts. End of story. I'm biggest stickler about finding long inseams for clothes. All mtb shorts are too short or too wide to get length. Abit makes best shirts I've ever owned and in "long"

Review: Akta's Trail Apparel & Protection Line
I just ordered their knee pads because of this review as I'd never heard of em before. For what it's worth lol...
Sam hill knee pads suck barely any real protection around the knee. Hopefully these will fill the ticket.

May 3, 2023Carbon 30mm Mullet 29/27.5 Light Bikes on Dt350 hubs
$850 USDSelling my set of used custom dialed carbon mullet 29 / 27.5 wheelset
Front wheel:
Light bikes Enduro rim. 32mm internal. Super robust 500 grams
Spline center lock straight pull hubs with dt350 internals
Cx Ray bladed spokes on aluminum nipples
SRAM Center lock 220mm rotor
Rear wheel:
Light Bikes All Mountain 30mm internal rim. 440 grams
Spline center lock straight pull hubs/ dt350 internals ratchet drive
Cx Ray bladed spokes on brass nipples
1700 +/- 50 depending on tape and valves etc. Definitely light but very strong. Lil wider 32mm up front for a big tire and lighter and more agile 30mm out back. This is a badass wheelset I'm only selling because I got sent a hookup on a diff wheelset to try so no longer need these altho I really took pride in building em up nicely with all the right parts/ combo.
There are lots of scuffs and scrapes on the wheels they have been used fairly well but never any freeride or super gnarly stuff or hard impacts etc. Bay area California rider. No issues wheels are completely ready to go.
I have a wheelbox ready for correct packing to ship or can meet In person if local.
Thanks

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: What Open Face Helmets Pinkbike's Editors Actually Wear
Troy Lee A3 with the sweat rubber visor for the win! Why do more companies not use such a simple add on. It works really well making sweat go down to ears instead of face just like a headband. Without having to wear a headband. No brainer. Hello helmet industry??

Kitsbow to Close After Financing Shortfall
Who knew. $350 mountain bike shorts might not be a profitable business. Know if they were E-bikes specific we might have a different convo here

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The Real Bike Weights from PB Editors
More click bait. Bunch of bikes paid to ride... Prob bunch of bikes in fleet, parts always being changed. Don't pay for anything so cant be choosy. Prob ride mostly self shuttle Enduro trails not trail riding.... Posting a bunch of over-bike porky - free - reviewer bikes and saying weight doesn't matter is the stupidest MTB online content thing this year. People with one or maybe 2 bikes that using their own hard cash and ride more than one self shuttle trail system or not going to want to pedal around 170mm 40 pound Enduro race bikes. So yes, weight most definitely matters and can easily define a bikes intentions and performance in those arenas.
