2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Schedule Released
The whole WC in Whistler thing has a lot to do with the Resort Municipality of Whistler. This is an oooooooold story. Years ago (in the 90s!) Whistler wanted to have a WC. The UCI told them to host a large stage race event for a few years to prove they could manage it, and then they would be awarded a WC. Whistler hosted the stage race, and it went great, and the UCI awarded Whistler a WC! Woohoo! Then bad things started to happen, there was infighting with different stakeholders in Whistler with the event, and very late in the year the event was cancelled. Gestev swept in, and managed to save the event by hosting the event at Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver (saving teams tons of travel $$$). The WC was hosted at Grouse for two years, and it has never gone back to Whistler. I know that a lot of the infighting in Whistler had to do with who gets what $$$. I highly suspect that Whistler makes a lot of $$$ of their current marquee event, Crankworx, and is hesitant to schedule a competing event which would cannibalize. From their perspective, why host a World Cup, when everyone already comes to Crankworx, which is a longer event, and they get to keep more of the revenue.

Guerrilla Gravity Megatrail + Megatrail SS - Models Updated
I'm a little disappointed with the geometry. I was hoping for a longer reach in the XL. (I know the stack is high, but compared to the Trail Pistol, its 20 mm short). Doh! Love the low BB, really wish the Reach was longer!

Ibis Ripley vs Ibis Ripley LS
@scottzg: the 2017 Kona Process are legitimately big. Reach on an XL is 510 mm ... as far as I can tell, thats the longest reach on the market right now.

Ibis Ripley vs Ibis Ripley LS
@lkubica: I disagree with your statement. You can keep reach the same on a bike, and extend ETT by slackening out seat tube. A super short bike with a super slack seat tube will have same ETT as a bike with longer front end and steeper seat tube. There is no doubt the second bike will climb better.

Ibis Ripley vs Ibis Ripley LS
I'm 6'4" and have an XL Enduro. Its waaaaaaay too small for me. I really think that Kona is onto something with their 2017 geometry (I wish the BBs was lower on the process 153 though!). Also check out Whyte bikes.

@Highlander406: Check out the 2017 Process from Kona ... they've stepped up bigtime in the geometry department!

Forget long, low and slack. This bike is short, super short. The LS version is longer than the original version, but it is still very short.
