Commencal Meta AM

$800 GBP
XL size 2013 Commencal Meta AM. Purchased in 2014, well maintained and heavily upgraded during it's life and spent a year in storage at one point, so is really equivalent to a 3.5 year old bike. Lots of new parts added and suspension serviced before going on holiday this summer and due to moving house the bike has not been used since. The following major parts have been replaced and are newer than the rest of the bike - forks, shock, wheels, seatpost. The following parts were new this summer and hardly ridden - frame bearings, headset, bottom bracket, chain ring, cassette, shifter, wheel bearings. Saddle will be new. Bike has been converted to 1x drivetrain, but front mech, shifter and chainrings are included if you want them. Frame - Meta AM v2 150mm Shock - 2016 Fox Float DPS 3Pos Performance (serviced recently) Fork - 2014 Marzocchi 55 CR 150mm (freshly serviced and not ridden) Headset - Hope Stem - Race Face Bars - Race Face Grips - Superstar Lock On Brakes - Shimano SLX 180/203 Shifter - Shimano SLX Front Mech - Sram X7 direct mount 10speed Rear Mech - Shimano SLX Cranks - Race Face Ride Chain Ring - Absolute Black 32T Oval Cassette - Sunrace 11/40 Rims - Stans Flow EX Hubs - Shimano Zee Tyres - Schwalbe Magic Mary Seatpost - Rockshox Reverb Saddle - New Commençal Pedals - Not Included

BTR Pinner – Review
@poah: Completely agree with you, it is just the media in this country like to paint a very negative picture rather than focus on the many positives. EU’s very childish negotiation team are just trying to scare off any other country thinking about leaving and minimise the losses from their budget they will face when the UK leaves.

BTR Pinner – Review
@Kimbers: Tax receipts have risen for the last six years in a row, the FTSE has recently hit record highs and UK growth keeps exceeding expectations “despite Brexit”. The government has increased spending by £20bn a year since 2010, even with so called austerity, and that trend continues. British businesses operate around the globe and many have thrived since the pound weakened.

The Dark Side and Back - A Journey on Roads Well Travelled
One of the best articles I've read in a long time. Sounds like you were jus un lucky with the weather. With the experience you've gained you're sure to make it next time. In sport so many teams only win the second time they make a final because of the experience they got first time round. Can't start to imagine how painful that saddle sore must have been!

Bigger, Faster, Stronger: Keegan Wright Interview
Wish Keegan all the best with his upcoming season. Met him when visiting Rotorua a couple of years ago and he couldn't have been more helpful showing me some of his home trails and giving me tips on bike set up.

Ridden and Rated: Six Tires for Rugged Trails
@Dustfarter: There is some debate about whether it stands for front and rear or freeride and race. DHF are popular as front and rear tyres, but some racers do use DHR front and rear in the right conditions.

Post-Ride Yoga Poses For a Tight IT Band - Monthly Yoga With Abi
Having suffered knee problems from tight IT bands, I've been doing some of these stretches already and will add the others in. Some advice I'd like to share for others with tight IT bands is to use a lacrosse ball to roll across the IT band (perpendicular to your leg). Doing this for a few weeks achieved more than using a foam roller for two years and has cured my knee issues. I was given this exercise by a sports doctor who treats All Blacks players so he knows his stuff.

Ask Pinkbike: Tire Casings, BB Compatibility, and Body Position
I used to be the same until a friend explained the benefits of dual ply tyres to me. Now run under 25psi front and rear. Yes they are heavier, but the increased grip and rim protection makes up for it.
