I like how everyone is wearing a helmet. At least they’ll be protected when they hit the inevitable paywall..

 A Monster helmet

I mean it has to change once in a while I would think to keep the sport fresh.

25years or work results in getting ghosted. Bit of a cooperate (Outside) way of handling moving on..

 ... Phhh... thanks Outside..

@adrennan: Notice how everyones a Monster rider? This year was a sellout man. BMX isnt stoked on this shit.

Hoffman is recovering from a major car accident. His post before that i think he even talks about it. Maybe they didnt want to bother him. Also, they didnt have to design a course...they just went into Pat Caseys backyard.

 1260 goddamn.

Hoffman's first 900 brought the sport to it's knees, it took 25+ years to top that. Seriously unreal.

@nsmithbmx:You could say the same for Joe Johnson (creator of tailwhip and 2x tailwhip). Dude was trying 3x tailwhips back in 1989 (not pulling them though).

 Condor got robbed.

 underrated comment

I feel like RW should've won dirt best trick. I mean really.. a 360 double flip? that's ridiculous. I guess they picked the double flip no hander cause of the smoother landing, but still. What Ryan did was nuts.

Thank you for collecting all these clips, Alicia. Cool to see this stuff in one place. i follow a couple of BMXers on IG but would not have seen all this. Going to miss these innocent days when content is not presented only to benefit the Master.

 The best!

BMX (and some slopestyle mtb) is just gymnastics or diving but on a bike at this point. Just spinning as hard as you can.
  • 1 0
It’s just the competition riders who are doing all these mad spins. They’re a bit like the bmx equivalent of rampage riders everyone likes watching but nobody’s really trying to ride like that.

I thought Ben Wallace had some real style

X games went from Big arenas down to someone's backyard Great setup tho.

This was awesome to watch, really enjoyed it. I thought the judging was pretty on-point, and I like how they don't award numeric scores but simply rank the riders. Makes it simpler.

Wish slopestyle was more like this...the style matters.

There was 0 style in these videos.... X games was a joke this year. Case>pedalpedalpedal>case>struggle over next jump>pedal>boner air

@crujonesisradd: Agreed, years go there were a few guys who could do video game runs but the field was still reasonably filled with stylish riders too, who wouldn't commonly win but the core riders of BMX and the like would be stoked to see their idol ride and out style everyone.

I literally could have played Dave mirra bmx(showing my age here ha ha) and had more fun than watching boring ass video game runs through and through
