Photo Epic: Historic Finals Day at the South Korea DH World Cup
In my experience in the US, people in areas with more cultural exposure (i.e. larger and more diverse cities) will simply refer to it as "Korea", and that is certainly how Korean Americans refer to themselves. In a rural area with little diversity is where you are more likely to hear people specify it as "South Korea". I grew up in a rural area with virtually no Asian people and have since lived in several cities with significant Asian populations and this is just what I have observed.

Semi-Final Results from the Fort William DH World Cup 2024
I was wondering the same thing, but people are only talking about the lack of broadcasting... It's strange that the women went faster but the men went considerably slower. Also there was no rain and both qualis and semis are on the same day, so wth?

Forbidden Announces Details for New Supernought DH Bike
Upon further inspection, I take back my comment with regards to this bike. It looks like they retain the suspension kinematic of all the sizes by shifting all of the pivots and shock mounts backwards along with the chainstay. I hope this is how other brands have achieved variable chain stay length as well

Forbidden Announces Details for New Supernought DH Bike
My beef with variable chain stay length bikes is knowing which size has the listed travel. Which of these frame sizes actually has 205 mm of travel? What is the travel of the other frame sizes? Also, there is a higher lever ratio acting on the shock for heavier riders, which is the opposite of what you want…

First Ride: Kenda's New Pinner Pro Tire & 9 Questions With Aaron Gwin
No, because if they chose a single company that’s all anybody would buy. Sure, sponsoring F1 is great advertising for pirelli, but nobody actually buys F1 tires. Nobody even buys rally tires. But if you decided Maxxis or some other company sponsored all of DH racing, all the pinkbikers would only buy that brand. How could you fairly choose one and doom the others?

Nerding Out: The Biggest Winning Margins in World Cup Downhill from 1997 to 2019
Men’s DH hasn’t had a winning margin greater than 5 seconds since Gwin’s infamous Val Di Sole run in 2012. That just shows that the depth of field in men’s DH is crazy good now...
