Specialized Levo R Review: Does a Short Travel, Full Power eMTB Make Sense?
Seems like Specialized missed the mark (or other companies caught up) on this current model. Will be curious what they do with the next generation......

Head to Head: 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy vs. 2020 Norco Optic
Verdict: the Tallboy rides more upright, which makes sense, that's the position you're in when you realize Norco figured this out in 2019.

First Ride: A Lot Has Changed About The New Revel Ranger
Meh. Too heavy. I'd just get the Rascal for the capability.
In other news, can we get a review of the Forbidden Reya? That seems to be the best option this year in the 130/120 range and in the right weight class.

First Ride: The 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy Has Been Fully Reinvented, But Remains a Joy
@11six: Agreed. Myself, and many others I know, are looking for a capable 130/120mm bike. Still curious to hear a real world review of the Forbidden Reya. Ideally, a short travel ripper in the 26/27 lbs range.

Boulder County Proposes Major Trail Restrictions for Mountain Bikers
The horses and hikers can have Heil Ranch. It's a pretty horrible trail system.

Boulder County Proposes Major Trail Restrictions for Mountain Bikers
The issue is that hikers already have a surplus of trails to use in Boulder. No bikes are allowed from Bear Peak all the way past Mount Sanitas. They have so many trails to hike between South Boulder and North Boulder.

The New Allied Fitz Puts the "Light" Back Into Light Trail
As others have mentioned, Specialized was pretty spot on to this with the prior Stumpjumper. I do think there is a huge opportunity in the 25-28lbs space for 140/140mm bikes. There is something to be said about a jack of all trades and master of none. Having a 120/120 and a 160/160 bike is a dream scenario, it's not realistic for most of us. Specialized totally missed the mark with the current SJ 15 as it doesn't have the 'lively' quality of the prior SJ and can't compete with the prior SJ Evo on the descents. The 145mm rear travel is limiting and puts it beyond light trail duty but underperforms in the all-mountain/enduro space, especially given the Enduro is very outdated these days.
More light trail offerings please!
