Bring On the Fender Weather - What We Do to Prep For Fall & Winter Riding
@Mtn-Goat-13: I don't understand it either. One gravel ride I got caught in a 10 minute rain shower and my chain became horrendously noisy within minutes and a similar situation on a mountain bike ride. We don't really ride in the rain where I live, but even if the trails had puddles it really impacted things. It just became more of hassle than anything, too. For me it isn't worth it, I just buy higher end chains and keep them reasonably clean and lubed. They get decent mileage, more than I do in a season.

I tried the crockpot hot wax method one summer. The drivetrain stayed nice and clean, but when it gets wet the lube was gone. I also broke 2 quick links, which I was reusing. In the end I'm much happier using the wolftooth lube.

Adidas Release Updated Freerider Line with Three Stripes Branding & Clipless Model
These dont really do it for me. I've been altenating between two pairs of Impact Pros for a few years. Both pairs are still in decent condition. I recently found a new pair online and bought them so I'll be good for a few more years. I tried Ride Concepts and they were ok, grip wasn't quite FiveTen level and I didn't find them to be very comfortable. I have not tried the newer Talacs though.

Randoms Round 4: Whistler World Cup DH 2026
It would be interesting to see a photo of the AON bikes next to other higher setups like Jackson and Dak and see if it's really that much higher up. Reece has mentioned the Manitou crowns are lower than other brands. Compare them to some more traditional setups too.

@DonEnrique: I just put trail casing Magic Mary's on a bike that came with DHF DHR in double down. The Mary's weighed 1200 grams each, the DHF was 1415 grams, and the DHR was 1360 grams. All 29er.
