Tech Briefing: Clever Little Gadgets, MTB Jeans, Colourful Brakes & More
@noapathy: I was looking forward to pairing them with my old metal shirts and the "69/420" geo graphic on my ESD that seems to offend a surprising amount of people.

@jdkellogg: I'm not advocating baggy pants. The thighs are the real problem anyway. Ankles were actually the loosest part of the pants, and I have pretty burly ankles.

Heads up on the Handup jeans- they are very comfy and appear to be quality for the price, but are not really compatible with biker legs. Unless you are going for the jeggings look. 32/32 was perfect length and waist, but felt like I was taking up 50% of the stretch everywhere else. I excitedly tried them on when they showed up yesterday, and was mocked by my wife :'(

First Look: Forge+Bond's New Thermoplastic Wheels
@Takaya94: difficult to extrude titanium into a hoop, and to be lighter it would have to be thinner so much more flexy. That being said I'd rather see some crazy (even heavyish) 3d printed Ti wheels with HR Giger looking organic shapes and spokes than more plastic... With the experiments using dyneema string spokes/etc more I'm sure we'll see literally laced carbon wheelsets soon and never my spinergy but from an alternate dimension pipedream.

Six Ways To Make Mountain Biking Less Expensive
@nickfranko: depends on how old you go or what the intended purpose is... with 26x27.5 mullets coming back on scene and 2/3x8 drivetrains cropping up more and more you never know! Also some old straight steerer oil bath forks are so easy to work on or rebuild and last for ages as long as you have a standard seal size. My dirt jumper is a mix of stuff from the mid 90's to last year and is no different for a non-pro rider than anything new.
