does that void the frame warranty?

It's an important video. I don't say "it's all rider, not the bike" but look at what's possible here. It's certainly not ideal but it's possible. I even get comments being on a 6" travel bike like I'm going to kill myself doing a double black trail sometimes. It's silly.

People need to reevaluate the limits and stop being so judgemental. This video's a reality check to me more than anything. That being said, I'd never do those trails on a bike like that. But I will appreciate my suspension that much more for having seen this and hopefully be a better rider for it.

kids these days.... Go back 20 years when people are riding double black on the north shore with a rigid cromo frame and fork and hucking 10 ft off a 2x4 to a rock pit on the wet, with V brakes.... Everything is possible, all comes down to what your definition of fun is. Back then was challenge, today is all flow

Dude.....we defiantly had full suspension in '95

Only ridden once, less than a mile.
One careful owner."

Just goes to show most of what we get shoved down our throats by bicycle companies and magazine "tests" about long travel, 27.5 vs 29r ect is BULLSH!T!!! Its all about your skill and ability, not the bike your on.
  • + 52
And for those of us with no skill or ability, it IS all about the bike.
  • + 5
 ^Truth
  • + 2
Yeah, the industry bullshit seems to be never ending. Defiantly agree you need a decent bike under you, but there's no substitute for skills. The last race I did was full of exotic LT carbon enduro bikes, they all got slayed by a HT XC bike, ha !
  • + 2
well, i guess he actually rode a carbon 29er Wink

fuckin awesome!!!!! I bet some of those guys seeing a roadie catching air, had to pinch themselves. probably thought they had entered the twilight zone.

Are people on here unfamiliar with what a cross bike is? My mate and I do trails and jumps on cross bikes all the time and it's no issue. Sure, we go out and do the same jumps and trails on our mountain bikes and have a much better time but it's still completely possible even on road bikes. Frames are pretty indestructible these days and can be chucked about. There are folk out there doing trial riding on 10 grand road bikes like it's nothing.

Dirt merchant and a-line are not your typical "trails and jumps".
  • + 5
"Completely possible on road bikes" and also completely possible to walk around for a week without being able to use your hands.

Really cuz one of my friends bikes fell and the end of the bar hit a Road bike and put a crack in the frame

This man doesn't need suspension he has his massive balls to cushion him.

HO-LY CRAP!! I've done some cross bike riding on our local enduro trails... but nothing like that! I'm old so I remember the no suspension days, but what makes it more sketchy to me is the drop bars and hood brakes. Totally different braking dynamic than mountain bars. the pounding is brutal too. I am in awe of this guy. Wow. I'm happy if I get 6" of air off tiny little jumps on my gravel bike!

Thats very good. Don't think the bike will last too long though but hes got some talented riding skills.
  • + 4
 It's the glasses, I'm sure.

Funny thing is he is quicker than 80% of the biking community on that bike haha!

The most impressive stuff IMO is navigating through the rocky and rooty sections. Unbelievable!
  • + 1
Cool! I suppose It's all about preferences and taste, not that a certain sort of bike is a must on certain type of terrain.
