@lkubica: CNC milling lugs requires 5-axis. A 5 axis machine uses about 10x the power of a typical home annually and creates a ton of waste, especially relative to laser 3d printing (sls 3d printers cost in the range of $1-3mm, and require some special infrastructure like explosion proof rooms for material storage and industrial nitrogen purge systems). A good 5x machine costs well over a million dollars. The energy economics of manufacturing frame parts in low quantities is really not as simple as you think.
