Swagman Announces Summit Vertical Rack
There are big differences. The old Recon racks hold up. New ones are not nearly as rugged. Velocirax are pretty solid. I have seen Alta racks fail. You want quality if you are loading up 6 or even 7 bikes on one of these.

I have an old Recon rack. I don't drink, but have actually found the bottle opener it includes to be handy.
Also these look like the old Recon and the new Recon/1-Up rack got merged in a strange way.

Review: BMB Reverse Raise Stem - The Stem That Wants to Change Mountain Biking
I have run into two people riding these stems in the last couple of months. I asked if they have any complaints and they both said that there was no downside and it solved all sorts of problems for them.
I don’t think it is for me, but then again I still like barends.

Been riding mine for two years. No problems so far. Have never had to touch them. And the vibration killing is for real. Huge difference on my hardtail.

Wow, never heard of Khyber until now. That makes Recon (now 1Up) look inexpensive, but they look like a solid rack.

@unfknblvbl: Recon (which is my preferred rack) is REALLY similar to Alta Racks (family members have that system). Both are superior to Northshore in my experience, but if someone wants to hang their bike by the fork crown rather than only having the tire contact the rack that is fine with me.

95% of people on my local trails are over-biked in a serious way. Modern hardtails are fun, capable, and simple. I've got a Pivot LES and a Chameleon and each gets more usage than my FS.
