Specialized Is Trying to Make E-Bike Overlanding a Thing
Wait, what the absolute Fffffffff? Never mind, I’ll look it up now as I’m already pretty jaded from current pictures of Herbert Camacho Mountain Dew’s White House WWE set up.

Intend Unveils Air/Coil Hybrid Shock - The Rover
@Dougal-SC: that’s the answer right there. No one wants to deal with 400psi, unless it is a very small volume and a specific pump for that volume. Add spring to let PSI back into normal shock pump ranges.
Was wondering the why of this shock.

Intend Unveils Air/Coil Hybrid Shock - The Rover
@fred-frod: fills the void of- I want a coil shock, but I want a 481 lb spring and won’t settle for a 475+ preload or a 500 lb with zero preload. And I’m sure some engineer had a fun time making it.

Pinkbike Poll: What Type of Mountain Biking Do You Do the Most?
So what is it if you do an enduro race once or twice a year, but mostly just hit the 60-90 min town loop that is a mix of things. Sometimes go on a road ride if the trials are peanut butter muddy, or possibly on a road ride on a dirt road. Then maybe use a trainer for a few months then let it get dusty. Oh yeah, you get that one week a year to an actual bike park and enjoy that too. And like to plan some mega 100 MTB mile ride in the fall on your birthday. Also did a couple BMX races as an adult but decided it wasn’t your bag. And you have like 5 bike all between 5 and 10 years old?

BBB's CoreCap Promises 300% the Air Flow of Presta for Faster Tire Inflation
@dick-pound: sealant not withstanding, is static balancing of the wheel an option? I’ve never done this for a bicycle, but certainly do for my motorcycles.

2025 Pinkbike Awards: Breakout Rider of the Year Winner
I feel like for “Breakout Althete of the Year” a little more background on the athlete would be a nice little feature for the article.
Either way, glad that Enduro lives on and congratulations to Elly Hoskin on a great season and the well deserved award.

Shimano Files Patent for Two-Pronged Derailleur Hanger
IIRC, the hanger used to be part of the frame. The bolt on hanger was introduced to save the frame in a crash, not the mech. It seems the narrative around hangers being there to save the mech vs the frame has wandered a bit through the decades.
