A New 6-Day Enduro Is Launching In New Zealand Next Year
All but one of the photos on the website homepage are from near Wanaka as well lol. Also a bit of creative license on some of the local history e.g. the Coppermine area colour is due to a mineral belt and not widespread mining.
At the end of the day they’re just trying to sell an expensive MTB race, so power to them, but it’s not even like there aren’t amazing photos of Nelson trails to use. Why not just put the effort in to get it right? You’d think with the local tourism agency onboard they’d be able to help out…

I would say yes, Kaikoura/Clarence are pretty cool areas to check out on the way too. There are only a few trails at the moment but it will grow pretty fast. Cool thing too is you can share uplift passes so if you get a group together you'd be looking at $10 an uplift, $9 if you got the 20-run pass.
