What's New for the Kids at Sea Otter 2024
I did the exact same thing, sourced some Bmx parts and mixed in some mtb. I put a 26” Judy on it and it worked perfect. Both my kids rode the hell out of it when they were in single digits. It was super lite too.

Trailforks Trail of the Month: Porcupine Rim, Utah
I’ve done PR at least a dozen times since the mid-90’s and it never, ever disappoints.
Anybody done the “full porky”?
A friend talked me and 4 others to start at the parking lot of Sand Flats, ride up to the trailhead, do PR, ride back thru town and back to the parking lot. It was fine until the road leading up to Sand Flats, we dropped 4 people and I barely made it. Never gonna do it again, lol.

Propain Announces New Kids Bikes Range
For those that are a bit more handy & like to build up bikes, about 10 years ago when completes we’re few & far between, I built up a custom for my 6 yr old at the time. I started with a Spesh Hard Rock 24” frame & went from there. I found a RS Judy 26” & it worked perfect. Built it up with Stans 24” wheels, Shimano components and sourced shorter cranks from the Bmx racing world. It comes in under a tad of 25 lbs. Once my son out grew it, it went to his younger sister. The bike was awesome, saw a lot of action in Moab & all over. It was a great real world bike for little tykes.
