Review: Orbea's New Rally On Linkage for the Rallon
I have a 2018 Rallon R5. Really love the bike. I was thinking the other day that a touch more travel with a bit more sensitivity off the bottom would be great. And here it is! Thanks to Orbea for taking care of their current customers! As long as I'm asking for stuff, how about a repaint program?

Final Results: EWS Val di Fassa 2019
So the UCI managed to wreck the season for the two most dominant riders in the EWS. For nothing. Glad to see Ritchie back. Would have been great to see him and Martin race.

Day One Photo Epic: Rough and Tough - EWS Madeira 2019
I'm glad Cecil Ravanel is recovering well. I also think that her racing Masters is some serious sandbagging.

Video: CathroVision's 2018 World Cup DH Crash Reel
Ok, I feel a little better about myself and skittering, helplessly, down a section. And my choice to stick with flat pedals has been confirmed so when my brain screams BAIL!!! my feet can get the hell outta there.

Bike Check: Dustin Malley's Aggressive-Geometry Suspension Bikes for Kids - Sea Otter 2019
I know Dustin and he puts a lot of time, love and attention into these bikes. He puts a lot of thought into the practical aspects (suspension design and other factors just for kids) of these bikes and makes the frames, literally, in a garage in his spare time when he's not working full time as a mechanic. I don't think he does it for much, or any, profit. I was around when he was building Sophie's bike and he even made sure it had enough pink in the parts kit so she'd be happy with her "girls" bike. Dustin is also a local DH Pro (3rd in Pro at Bootleg Canyon behind some guy named Gwin) and rips. He goes out and rides with the kids too. Dustin is a really great guy and is doing a ton to bring the next gen of rippers.

Video: Friday Fails #58
Full face helmet everywhere, all the time. That and I don't get why do many riders don't wear elbow pads.

Video: Friday Fails #47
If Fox, Troy Lee want to sell more light weight, full face helmets, they should post these videos. I don't ride without a full face anymore. You NEVER know. The dude pedaling hard then BAM! Slip a pedal an onto his face.

EWS Video: The Digital Age - Shimano Tech Focus
It's cool, and I'm sure works great, but way too expensive. Having to replace a $500 derailleur or a who-knows-how-much shifter, or wiring after a crash would really suck. Mountain biking involves crashing. At least it does for me. So I'll pass until the price comes way down until it's comparable to a high end mechanical system.
