First Ride: 2020 Liv Pique 29 - A World Cup Ready XC Bike
As a female who races and works in a bike shop - totally thrilled with this bike. That it comes in several price points is awesome - I can suggest it as an option to heaps of female bikers who come through the shop doors. Some don't want to spend a lot, some do want to spend a lot to get the top bike. I'm still a fan of 27.5, but this bike opens up a few more options for those that want a 29er but still want to ride the Liv brand. Love the geometry and specs - esp. a dropper on every version! Well done Liv!! :) Can't wait to try one!

First Ride: 2020 Specialized Epic HT - The World's Lightest Production Hardtail
@JDFF: have a look at a Giant XTC. Great value for money bikes. 27.2 seatpost, but I got a Brand-X dropper from wiggle for under $200 (nzd) and it works better than my $600+ (nzd) droppers (same diameter).

Martin Maes Tests Positive for Masking Agent at EWS Rotorua & Tasmania, Receives 90 Day ‘Non-Intentional’ Suspension
@islandforlife: the WADA list is released every year as a PDF. The updated list comes into effect every year on 1 January. Download to a phone and job done. The mistake here is probably lack of education of Enduro riders and managers about WADA, processes etc.

@canadaka: how do you find trail statistics in Trailforks? I couldn't see a link in the menus.

Taking The Plunge in a Quest to Become a Pro Racer
A bit of unsolicited advice (from another masters age rider). Spend some coin on a sports psychologist. Athletes of all ages/stages/pros and amateurs are using them. They provide excellent mental tools for the mental toolbox.

Race Report: Urge 3 Peaks Enduro Wraps up for 2014
As someone who rode the course and spectated post-ride, I can confirm it was indeed steep :) My perception is that the camera lens has actually flattened out the terrain a bit :) The steep part in the pics above (with the tree) is part of 'Timmy's track' (and had hecklers/'encouragers'), the pics with the big rocks is (from memory) the end of what is called 'Student track'. A flipping awesome weekend :)
