Tech Randoms: Lenzerheide XC World Cup 2026
@padrefan1982: previous Element is probably my favorite bike I've ever owned, up there with the first gen Sentinel. Wish I would've tried it with a 120 for racing before selling it for a "proper", aka boring, race rig.

I know there's a guy from Ireland I believe who races some WCs and rides an Element (Chris Dawson), not sure if that's his though.

Anyone know if that linkage on the Element is something special? Moved from the last gen Element to an Epic 8 and contemplating going back to this new one with the lower weight.

First Ride: Specialized Epic 9 - Unapologetically Race-Focused
I was so excited about the Epic 8 but this is very underwhelming to me. Maybe in year or two if I sell my Epic 8 I'd consider this, but I see very little improvements over the Epic 8. That sort of weight difference does not make a difference in results for 99.9% of the population.

Honestly 2200 g for a frame isn't bad at all, this is such a good entry point for people who want to dabble in XC.

Probably won't be the bike for me as a converted XC nerd but I sure am excited to see it. Be cool if it could hold two bottles similar to an Element or the new Revolver but doesn't look like it, fingers crossed...

@SunshineBicycleCenter: totally but this quote threw me off "This was always going to be a lightweight trail bike vs. XC race bike". Like maybe an XC race bike is coming.
