Video: Gee Atherton Shares Injury Recovery Update & Future Plans
I broke my T4/5, 5 ribs, wrist, and had some internal bleeding 3 years back or so. When it's not your job to get back at it just take your time and ride at a comfortable pace. I was back racing enduro and pushing pace by about 10 months after the crash but I didn't force myself to ride gnarly stuff and even enjoyed road riding for awhile.

S-works Stumpjumper Evo Custom Build - S4

$5500 USD
Custom Built S-works Stumpjumper Evo Frame build. I LOVE this bike and will regret selling it but I never make time to ride it. This is almost brand new, and probably as less than 10 total rides on it. Built by Project Bike in Bend last year, specs are below: - S-works Stumpjumper Evo frame size S-4 (large) - 160 mm Lyrik Ultimate - Code RSC brakes/200 mm SRAM Rotors - GX eagle shifter/derailleur/X01 Cassette/copper XX1 chain - XT cranks (weird mismatch but I had a power meter on it because I'm a nerd...) - DT Swiss Custom EX1700 wheels (Build off a Yeti SB150, eyelet rims) - Exo Assegai/DD DHRII - Specialized S-works carbon bars (31.8) - Deity Copperhead stem - 210 mm Oneup dropper - will include a single cushcore insert if buyer wants it. I had it in the bike for a few rides but took it out to do some more trail riding, been used maybe 4-5 times.

Santa Cruz Blur TR CC - XL

$2900 USD
Selling my “down country” Blur build. Bike is running well but the frame has some cable rub and rock strikes around the BB (see photos). Built this from a frame with the intention of racing Downieville which never happened due to COVID. Selling to make way for a slightly more aggressive new whip but this this is a total blast in central Oregon. I’m 6’ on the dot and sized up to an XL. It’s a tiny bit big on the climbs but feels amazing on the descent with the extra length but would probably fit someone 6’1” and up a bit better. Build specs below: - SID Ultimate 120 fork - GX eagle cassette/derailleur - e13 TRS+ Cassette - XTR M9000 brakes/180 mm rotors - gx eagle cranks (not the XTR pictured) - fox transfer 170 - DT Swiss XM1501 wheels - dissector/ground control tires (can put dual aspens on too if that’s your flavor) - renthal apex stem/carbon 31.8 bars (untrimmed)

Throwback Thursday: 7 Bikes Turning 20 in 2022
@bananowy: those early horst links bobbed like you were riding a horse. My roommates/riding buddies call it the "bucking bronco" because that's what it looked like riding behind me uphill. My dad, who has only ridden road and tri-bikes, bought a used Stumpjumper of similar vintage and kept on telling me it was broken only to have me tell him "nope that's just how those ride".

Throwback Thursday: 7 Bikes Turning 20 in 2022
I had one of those monoframe Enduros in grad school, paid $500 for it new and although it was a horrendous bike I had so much fun on it and it's what really sparked my love for riding. I almost miss it, almost...
