A true 2-wheel lover rides DH Enduro XC and even Road. Just have a look at the DH and Enduro pros. I bet everyone also trains on XC and Road. Jared Graves for example, hell of an athlete. I never understood this "I ride only DH, everything else is for pussies" thing. Absolutely nothing wrong with a nice road session on a warm summer eve.

Carbon vs Aluminum: Separating Environmental Fact From Fiction in the Frame Materials Debate
Regarding the aesthetics, I find well made alumium frames at least as appealing as fancy carbon frames. Just look at those older Intense frames with their amazing weld seams for example. RAW beauty.

Urge To Race EWS - Video
@j-t-g: that's quite interesting. I live in Germany and raaarely ever see a Rocky Mountain. But based on media coverage and the awesome bikes they brought out recently, it seems their popularity is growing again. Over here it's mostly Canyon, Specialized, YT and Santa Cruz out on the trails.
