I’m 53 and wish I had learned about mobility and strength training decades ago. Been doing it for 4 years and it has made a huge difference. It is not an either or, mobility keeps you flexible, strength training gives you the muscle strength to support the mobility.

Specialized Purgatory / Trail Control Tire Review: A Pleasant Surprise
@jalopyj: T9 in the front, but arguably don’t need it as very little of our terrain is rocky or rooty and riding in the wet limited (San Franciso Bay Area). I haven’t explored the fastrak rear as 1) our terrain is a fair amount of loose, 2) I ain’t that fast, and 3) I am old a creaky and want to make sure I have braking traction at the rear when needed.

Of the 4 I have measured on i30 rims, all were spot on at 2.4 at the casing at 25 psi.

Specialized Purgatory / Trail Control Tire Review: A Pleasant Surprise
Run the Purgatory/GC on a V4s and like the combo. Tried the GC in the front and had too many oh crap moments. The Purgatory/Trail Control is a good step up in front traction but not much more rolling resistance. It is also easy to get on the side and lock in, with no traction gap when leaning over. It is good up to moderately loose conditions, and a great all around tire.
The weight on all the ones I have have been in the 1,000 gram range. No clue why the grid trail is lighter than the grid, but same thing when I weighed mine. The most recent I bought in the trail grid were 1050 grams for the T9 and 980 for the T7. For the casing strength in the grid trail, actual weights are competitive with other brands with the same type of casings.

@Dougal-SC: Yep. There is already a free bleed hole, the ls rebound needle. It is even adjustable. What I read this as is Fox got tired of the complaining caused their running so much preload on their high speed stack to get a pedal platform, so instead of fixing that they just tuned it into a fixed port damper with the high speed stack acting as a blowoff. Now you get unregulated low speed couple with high speed spiking.
