Marin Alpine Trail Carbon Small

$2500 USD
This is my wife's bike. Not the original owner, but has held up incredibly well over the last year of regular use. This was a build up by the previous owner, not the stock build from marin. Marzocchi Z1, works like a dream, Fox DPS rear shock. Code RS brakes have been super reliable, Freshly bled with a new bottle of DOT for longevity. Good Maxxis DHF/DHR in good shape PNW Dropper, Deity bars, ODI Grips X0 Shifter and derailleur, NX Cassette. WTB wheels and saddle, There is a dent in the rear wheel but has held air for the last year so I trust it, but feel free to negotiate with me. Looking to move this along, make an offer, I'd like to sell.

Specialized Stumpjumper S1

$4500 USD
I rode this bike for a year as my main bike, I have kept up with all maintenance and the bike is in excellent working condition. This was a custom build up from an S-works frame that includes full Shimano XTR with E*Thirteen carbon cranks. (rear caliper is slx due to an issue with a leak that I did not wish to replace with a full price XTR caliper. Functionally the same outside of weight.) Suspension is a Fox Factory rear shock and Performance Elite 36 with 150mm of travel. Wheels are Stans Flow wheels with Shimano XT hubs. Brand new never ridden Specialized eliminator up front with Purgatory out rear, as would come stock from specialized. PNW Ranier post 150mm with WTB Volt Saddle. Ergon grips, Race Face bar and comes with original cage with included tool as would come from Specialized. This build is killer, around 30-31 pounds depending on pedals. Dropping some lighter wheels could easily save you more weight, but I built it a little more burly on purpose. This bike is perfect for a younger person or a smaller person who would like a bike that fits them better than many offerings available today. Looking to move this bike along, so please reach out with offers, I am willing to hear you out.

Story Time: When Bikes Aren't the Answer
I can also second that more writing of this style would be greatly enjoyed, similar with podcasts like the one with Steve Vanderhoek. I enjoy the approach to bike journalism as more than a machine for gear reviews/news and more on the experiential, people and personal opinions.

Knolly Announces New Endorphin With Improved Sizing for Smaller Riders
A 165mm crankset, at least on the smaller sizes, seems like the appropriate choice given the target audience of this bike. Odd to spec 170's to me
