Point: E-Bikes Are Good for the Sport
@enduroelite: My point was an attempt at a broader perspective in that what's good for manufacturers doesn't necessarily benefit us as riders. But in the end, I feel like I want an e-bike as much as I want my wife to get a boyfriend on the side.

Point: E-Bikes Are Good for the Sport
What is good for the cycling industry is not necessarily good for cyclists. And as time goes by we seem to have more and more abundant proof of that.

From the Top: Scott's Pascal Ducrot
In 1988, I had a pink Scott with "U" brake (look it up) and Biopace chainrings. Scott was truly a company willing to throw something at the wall to see if it sticks. I loved that bike, though.

2017 Intense Tracer - Review
@groghunter: I think the point is that there are many bikes that give us both options. I'm sure there's a group of buyers for an amazing bike like the Tracer (the new me, trying to be more positive on PB) but the vast majority of us are better served by something closer to the balance point between climbing/rolling terrain and downhill. Also, my skills allow me to ride close to the limits of my trailbike on the terrain I like to ride. I simply don't have enough terrain where I live, where this bike would make sense. Even the closest enduro series to where I live (CES), likely wouldn't justify this bike. That's not a slight on the bike, though.

2017 Intense Tracer - Review
First, let me say wow. Then, can they make it brighter? Then, wow. Then, a lovely machine that all of us may want, but few of us have access to the terrain to do it justice. The trail bike begat Enduro, which begat the Enduro bike, which became as narrowly focused as a DH bike.

Canyon Preparing for US Launch
@Beez177: et al. We have more in common than not.The real, unseen leaders of our country have their interests served by creating and adding to conflict. An example outside the country are the never-ending wars in the middle east, which are basically price support programs for oil. And the War on Drugs, which is nothing more than a price support program. Those same interests, the interests that continue to consolidate wealth with smaller and smaller groups of people, are served by setting us, one against the other. The people protesting in the streets now are no more than the flip side of the ones who would be protesting just as vigorously if Clinton had won. To all others, I apologize for this and every other political rant on a page where you likely go to get away from rants, diatribes and vitriol. In the end, actually riding my bike in the forest is the only true (and temporary) escape.
