Headtubes of Eurobike 2023
Nothing says "let's go huck our gravel bikes off a loading dock" like that headtube gusset.

[UPDATED] Overall Standings & Final Results from the Pietra Ligure Enduro World Cup 2023
Different opinion. I don't need to see live action to find enduro as an engaging, exciting sport with amazingly talented athletes. The soul of enduro is that it is a People's Sport. These athlete are doing the same type of riding, on the same bikes as us tyros, albeit on an otherworldly level. I don't need the sport to grow or to morph into some stupid format. I want to feel connected to a sports I can relate to like enduro and moto enduro and don't need for them to be on tv to appreciate them and the athletes that compete

Revenue Round Up: Some Success Amidst Falling Sales
@HB208: yes. Because 60 year old retired guys have more money than time. If someone told you that you had X more years to ride, with the maximum value of "X" being 10, you might also feel differently about spending the money.

Randoms Round 3 - Sea Otter 2023
As in many other things, it depends on where you live and ride. I would totally give up tiny cogs and some range for a more closely spaced cogset, but where I ride, the emphasis is on relatively low speed, jank and more jank.

Most, if not all the manufacturers seem to be in the same boat. They worked like devils to build inventory and shops ordered based on two years of severe product shortages, just in time for a possible recession. Specialized, Trek, Santa Cruz have/are running factory sales at 20% off or so. Same thing is happening in the moto world at the dealer level. I saw 2023 Gas Gas/KTMs on sale for 3k less than I paid for my '21 this week. I'm concerned that we will lose a bunch more independent retailers that are stuck with aging inventory that isn't moving. The fact that a significant portion is 10k+ e-bikes isn't helping.

But somehow the off road moto world marches on, with 100% "upside down" forks.

A Fire Season to Remember - The Free Radicals Help Rebuild Trail in Colorado
@BiNARYBiKE: It was the "just for skiers and snowboarders" that pushed a button. It is true that a bicycle is an engineered product, but when i want to use that product, i walk downstairs, wheel it outside and start pedaling as there are trails two minutes away, so no climate footprint for access. Also, when I ride, the dirt is ready made while a pretty big portion of the surface that boarders and skiers use is man made with giant machines.
