The 2026 Mondraker Zendit - An eMTB We Can't Talk About
@in2falling: don't I know it. Its pointless to expect pinkbike to be accountable, there's no reprocussions if they're not, and bike companies are happy to give them press releases that get clicks (add dolars).
But I feel good about reminding people of the broader impact of their choices.
ebike rider here, in a town with %95 of our 300 miles o trail getting further from access for ebikes do to the ever increase social "laws" of what an ebike is. It literally comes up in town council meetings

Sure hope you guys only test this on trails that allow ebike / emoto levels ABOVE class 1. don't make the problem worse for the rest of us doing the right thing

New Jersey E-Bike Riders Will Require Licence, Registration & Insurance Under Newly Signed Law
My wife is 8 months pregnant and can barely get out of eco/tour mode on any real, tight, singletrack trail on her e bike. The overweight , post surgery argument is valid, but doens't required 750w. it requires like 250.

I agree,
As an owner of a 750w 100nm E-bike. Even that is WAY WAY more power then is really necessary for anyone.

Pinkbike Poll: What Would Be Your Ideal eMTB Motor?
Former pro gravity racer , north american races and world cups. My wife and I just acquired our first e enduro bikes. riding mostly in the alpine in colorado where we live. We both got Bosch Gen5s . Honestly I think they could be WAY less powerfull. I think people running around in turbo on these things are going to cause more access issues. Hell, its hard to use anything more then tour on tight climbing trails. What in the world do you need 120nm or 1000 watts for. The e-bike power wars aren't worth the acess risk. Here in our corner of Colorado they're basically not allowed anywhere, the added power isn't helping us gain access

Pinkbike Poll: What's Your Favorite Type of Mountain Bike Racing?
The age old debate is settled 4X > DS ! ;) at least when it comes to watch other people do it.
But no wonder 4x died . More expensive to build and maintain, without any significant income advantage from a race promoters stand point . One of those things that’s just great, but sadly doesn’t make a ton of business sense
