Stock-related compensation is a key reason why CEOs earn so much, it is not their base salary. You could probably correlate CEO compensation, if company performance is doing well than most likely the stock prices are doing well.

80 percent of cost is component specs, which GG and/or any vendor don't control. I am assuming they don't get the same cost for component, since they buy in less bulk for being a smaller boutique customer base, when compared to major brands.

It is niche group... it caters to most parents that take their kids to ride bike parks and/or race DH with them. Most of those parents understand the proper fit and right geo for a safety and progression.

@cvoc: I disagree, when AP used the term "N-ggeration" on his post. That is real racist slang term... the act of becoming a N-gger. That is not the same as using the term N-gga (word ending "a" vs "er") as you hear or what other blacks have repurpose. It has different context/meaning, if ends with "a".

@DoubleCrownAddict: Aren't you supporting American distributor, which employees American workers... plus all the logistic (American workers) to ship the bike to you. I have purchased several bikes from commencal, then have my local bike shop maintain and/or upgrade parts.
