Here's a quick test.... Once you get your levers in the position where you can absorb a full fork compression and go sideways with the bike after, (instead of otb) you have found the correct lever position.

Video: How Posture Affects Your Bike Performance
Great video.... My posture isn't great on the bike, but the more I work on it in the gym and on bike, the better endurance I have going downhill. What surprised me most, is how much more relaxed your hands can be and how much less they get thrashed with stronger/more correct posture.

"Top of the line model doesn't offer the best value" relative to other models of same bike.... always true. But pretty sure it was meant as "Top of the line model doesn't offer the best value" relative to top of the line models (with similar luxury parts) of different bikes.
