Made in USA: Inside Zipp's Carbon Wheel Testing and Production Facility
@PHeller: Excellent points, I agree. I got a bachelor's in a field I never worked in, had a great (salary, benefits) white collar job for several years and found it very unsatisfying. Luckily I was able to take on greater hands on roles and learn the skills needed for when I bought this biz. Now I work way harder than ever before for less money (for now) but the work is very satisfying. Our target employee is a person 40+ who knows what work is, can leave the phone alone, and values the job. We as a country are doing a disservice to many young people by pushing them toward 4 year degrees as a matter of course and it is good to see renewed interest in trade education. I personally wish I could have gotten trade education instead of a bachelors degree. In our area manual machinists can write their own ticket, programming skills alone produce a capability gap. See if you can find an old timer tool and die maker to apprentice with at night.

As the owner of a US custom industrial company, I'll say that one of the biggest challenges we and others face is finding employees who will do the work and maintain the high quality standards we require. A good employee is like gold and then there are still typically problems.

Check Out: Fenders, Flat Pedal Shoes, a Protective Pack & More - June 2019
My 5.10s are way to stiff for skating, and my nice skate shoes are too soft for MTB. When I go to the skatepark with board and bike I wear the skate shoes as the best compromise but would not wear them on the MTB trails because the 5.10s perform better.

Idaho is a great place to go if you like sagebrush, jack-rabbits, and rattlesnakes.

Tech Randoms - Fort William DH World Cup 2018
Already on the ground, can only tip over at worse. Professional work there, safest place for them. If they were set on something elevated objective risk of them falling could mean impact with the ground and being damaged in a functionally or cosmetically meaningful way versus the potential for minor scuffs like we see here.

Recon Gen-2 R5 Shuttle Rack – Review
Blasting it before the powder coating is an admirable step that is often skipped with new manufacturing due to cost. Blasting before powder coating increased bond strength and makes the coating much more durable. Props to Fuks for including this step even though it increases final product cost.

They dropped that last year for 2016, the current ones have no graphics. I've had the black one since January, agreed, great fitting helmet.

Kashima is moly-disulfide deposited into the porous hard anodizing, so they should be able to produce that with gold or black hard anodizing.
