Definitely more rear cargo space with the smaller wheel. And they can use the same tube. On the other hand, If that's a concern I feel like you have too much shit.

I used to tell myself I needed a steel bikepacking rig so I could fix it in the backcountry. Then I realized I don't live in Mongolia and got an aluminum bike. You're not wrong, but not exactly worth worrying about either as tubes stretch.
